What is Shadow Aiding/PLA?
A shadow aide, also known as Personal Learning Assistant (PLA), is a trained personnel, usually a Behaviour Therapist who comes to the classroom with your kid to assist with the lesson. Children will receive as much or as little assistance from the shadow aid to comprehend and meet their educational needs. The child's academics, classroom skills, impulse management, living skills, social skills, and obeying directions can all be areas of emphasis for the shadow aides in Auesome Kids Behavioral Services. The Shadow Aids will progressively lessen their assistance as the child gains independence until the child is on their own. In real terms, it has been noted that students who receive shadow assistance perform better in the classroom than those who do not.
Who needs a Shadow Aide?
Children with Down syndrome, autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, and other developmental issues undoubtedly struggle to fit in both at home and at school. Frequently, it is the result of parents and teachers failing to recognise the best strategies to encourage a child's behavioural and developmental growth. In order to deal with this, we assembled a group of experts and paraeducators who specialise in working with special needs kids.
