What is Developmental Screening?

A parent or carer can swiftly determine a child's progress through foundational early childhood developmental milestones by using a brief approach called developmental screening.  How a child learns, speaks, walks, behaves, and interacts with others are all indicators of their level of development.  Talking, waving, and smiling are examples of developmental milestones. 

Developmental screening is crucial because it may reveal whether a child requires more support or services. Parents can be connected to these information and services—many of which are free—by providers, psychologists like us at Auesome Kids Behavioral Services, or paediatricians. Compared to waiting until later in life, children who receive these services and resources early in life are frequently able to achieve better developmental progress.

Here in Auesome Kids Behavioral Services, we use psychological assessments which are valid and reliable sources of screenings as it is being used by professionals like us, psychologists, pedeatrician and doctors all around the world. Developmental Screenings are used to measure symptoms of Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, Dyslexia, GDD and other developmental disorders.
